Access to Standards online through SAI Global (including Australian and some limited international standards) is available directly to Cairns & Hinterland Hospital & Health Services staff through the Cairns Hospital Library & Knowledge Centre (LKC).
There are two ways for CHHHS staff to access Standards.
- Login details are required to access online standards. Contact LKC for these details.
To search for standards, go to: http://www.saiglobal.com/online. Enter Login details.
- Use Search LKC on our website.
You will need your Open Athens login for CKN to access Standards.
To search, select Standards (CHHHS only) option then enter details of standard in search box.
Click GO button.
You'll be prompted for your CKN login. Not registered for CKN access offsite? Go to CKN website and register.
You can search for standards that are available via the CHHHS subscription. Click on Within Subscription Only tick box.
Remember to click on Subscription Logout (left hand side menu, last item) when you’ve finished.
If you require a standard that is not available as part of the CHHHS subscription, contact the LKC team. If you need access to a standard that requires payment, you will be asked to provide a cost centre for payment. Any standards with the following icon require payment.
Requesting a standard to be unlocked will not automatically authorise access to the standard. Contact the LKC for further help.
Please do not share login information with your colleagues. Ask them to contact the LKC for information if they require direct access.
- PDF downloads are time limited and should not be saved
Print copies are uncontrolled copies; always refer to the latest online version
- If requesting a standard from LKC, we will send print copies - always check for updates
We also need specific information - title, date and / or standard number
Torres & Cape HHS staff can request Australian Standards from LKC. They will be posted to you. Direct online access is not available due to licensing restrictions.
Other Queensland Health staff should contact their local QH library for assistance.
