CHHHS has recently (April 2024) changed vendor for access to standards, and we now have a direct subscription with Standards Australia.
Access to the new subscription involves a significantly different interface, so please contact the library via email (cairns_library@health.qld.gov.au) if you require direct access.
This FAQ will be updated further soon.
Access to Standards is through Techstreet Enterprise and available directly to Cairns & Hinterland Hospital & Health Services staff through the Cairns Hospital Library & Knowledge Centre (LKC).
You can request LKC to print required standards.
If you believe you require regular and ongoing access to Australian Standards, you can contact the LKC to request an account for access. Digital rights management (DRM) plug-in (File Open software) must be downloaded on your computer to view standards. This is available from the CHHHS software centre. Once logged in, you can search for standards that are available via the CHHHS subscription. If you require a standard that is not available as part of the CHHHS subscription, contact the LKC team. Please do not share your personal login details with your colleagues. Ask them to contact the LKC for information if they require direct access.
If you need access to a standard that requires payment, you will need to process that. Contact the LKC for further help.
Note:
Torres & Cape HHS staff can request Australian Standards from LKC. They will be printed and posted to you; direct online access is not available due to licensing restrictions.
Other Queensland Health staff or students should contact their local QH library or university for assistance.
