Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) staff can access Joanna Briggs (JBI) via the QH App Store for Windows 7 work computers.

From the QH App Store - search for Joanna Briggs.

Select JBI, then Click on the INSTALL button on bottom right hand corner of the screen.

This will install a short cut on your desktop. If prompted, do NOT select IE10 as your browser.

Once installed on your desktop, double click on the icon (Joanna Briggs Site v2) to access JBI and it will take you to a landing page, opening in Mozilla Firefox. Do not use IE6 or IE10 for database access.

Once you submit a search, it will open up new tab, in the OVID Search Form (Wolters Kluwer search platform). Results will be displayed if the search was successful.

If search was unsuccessful, there will be a message, NO RECORDS IN SET! Use the search box on the OVID search screen to try again.

Remote access

Access to JBI is available via the LKC website (internet access) - see Search LKC box in the centre of our home page.

You need CKN login to access JBI via LKC website.

Select JBI OVID option. Then follow instructions, as above, within the Ovid search form.
