Following are instructions for checking drug interactions in Micromedex 2.0 (available via CKN).
Step one: Click the ‘Drug Interactions’ tab at the top of the page. Search for each drug and click the arrow button to add it to your list.
Step two: Once the list is complete, click ‘Submit’ to check interactions between all drugs in that list.
Step three: The top of results page will display a summary of drug-drug interactions for that list. You can also scroll down to see drug-food, drug-ethanol interactions etc.
Step four: Click on the blue writing for each interaction to see a more detailed explanation, including Clinical Management, Onset, Mechanism and evidence from the literature.
